The plane which he flies has many of the standard combat controls and instruments. This is the use of the SNV-l. After several hours of dual instruction devoted to take-offs, landings, and fundamental maneuvers, a cadet is checked by a navy instructor and if successfully passed, allowed to solo the Vultee CSNV-li.
