Behannon assumed duties as Officer in Charge of Ground Training School and Ground Training Schools NATC in November l943. Since reporting aboard The Naval Air Station in January 1942, he has served as Personnel and Execu- tive Officer of Ground School. - Lieutenant Bohannon entered the Naval Service in l94l after having served as Aerology Instructor at N. A. S. He is a graduate of Sam Houston State Teachers College, the University of Texas and holds a Bachelor of Science Degree. Prior to entering the Naval Service he was asso- ciated with the Alice, Texas, Public Schools. He also worked for the Oxford lnstitute of Chicago and was an Instructor in Civil Aeronautics. -k if if 'A' ir LIEUTENANT KARL LITZENBERG Lieutenant Karl Litzenberg, Executive Officer of the Ground Training School, reported aboard the Naval Air Station in May l943, after having completed an indoctrination course at Quonset Point, Rhode island. Prior to entering the Naval Service, he was a Professor and Administrative Official at the University of Michigan. He-was educated at Universities 'of Michigan, Illinois, Minnesota, Copenhagen, Denmark and holds B.A., M.A., and Ph.D. Degrees. Lieutenant Litzenberg was first assigned to duty as Assistant Ground Training Officer, Squadron l8B, and later assumed duties as Executive Officer of the Ground Training School. During this tour of duty, he aided in writing VPB Lectures, revising VPB instructional material and establishing a Ground Training lnstructor's School. .His instructor's manual Teaching Aviation Cadets , was published by Naval Air Training Bases and is to be revised under the Naval Air Training Base Ground Training Officer, for use throughout the Naval Air Training Command.
