FUNCTIONAL SERVICES . . . .. ..-, ..,-.. . , GENERAL MESS Twice our 111ess hall received an l'exeellent rating from the students, while an appreciable nuinber labeled it outstanding , Few service- INCILS niess halls can boast of a coniparable reac- tion to their daily coneoetions. Behind the scenes. the vigilant eyes of CSi Mott or CS2 Pardur were ever peering around the corner, seeing that the lowly SlllClCHt on niess duty was slicing the celery or onions just so. 'l'his was just a part of preparing good food, and these two chefs, under the direction of Chief lfitzhugh and with the aid of their several assist- ants, even though faced with e11t appropriations, turned out culinary art to satisfy four hundred nien who considered themselves qualitied con- noisseurs second not even to Duncan Hines. -- .
