During World War II he served as executive officer during the open- of amphibious training centers at Camp Edwards, Mass. and Camp Carrabelle, Fla. Other duty has been military operations adviser to the Philippine government, assistant military attache in London, service in Hawaii, a War Department observer with the Zlst Army Group in Europe, and a representative of the Ioint Chiefs of Staff on European intelligence. His decorations include the Bronze Star, the Army Commendation Ribbon, Order of the British Empire and the Philippine Legion of Honor. Prior to assuming command of the 87th Infantry Regiment in August of 1952 he served as Assistant,Division Commander, He is a native of the State of California. A

His forty-four months overseas include duty in Korea with the 24th Infantry Regiment. Lieutenant Riley was assigned to the 10th Infantry Division on Z1 December 1-951 and assumed command of Company M, 87th Infantry on l October 1952. His home is Fairfax, Okla.
