Virginia To All Military Personnel of The Transportation Center: It cannot be over-emphasized that the mission of every member of the Army is that of being primarily a well-trained soldier, and secondly a technician in a specific military endeavor. The training provided for soldiers of the Transportation Corps is aimed at fulfill- ment of this requirement. It is outmoded thinking to believe that a member of this Corps is first and last a technician. We cannot know what lies ahead for our country. The greatest protection that can be afforded is that of preparedness. Your part in achieving this protection is to absorb all the training that is possible, to make your self a superior soldier and a skilled technician.
