In addiTion, uniTs oT The baTTaIion were engaged in a wide varieTy oT duTies ranging Trom assisTing Uncle Sam To deliver mail during The ChrisTmas rush, To operaTing an O'ITicer's SchooI in TacTics aT EasTview, New York. Members oT The baTTaIion aIso were used exTensiveIy on Tiring squads aT The buriaIs oT deceased miIiTary personneI, aT numerous oTher ceremonies and parades, in escorTing generaI prisoners To piaces oT conTine- menT and supervising prisoner-oT-war movemenTs To all parTs OT The UniTed STaTes.
