The DeTachmenT in addiTion, also Turnished personnel Tor The MenTal Hygiene ConsulTaTion Service, DenTal Service and Tor Medical Processing. On l July I949 The DeTachmenT absorbed The personnel assigned To TilTon General HospiTal and assumed The operaTion oT The STaTion HospiTal aT PorT Dix. AT The STaTion HospiTal modern medical care, TreaTmenT and hospiTalizaTion is provided Tor all members oT The Armed Services on duTy aT ForT Dix and surrounding TerriTory, including Their depend- enTs. Emergency medical TreaTmenT is also available To civilian employees oT The army aT The numerous clispensaries and aT The HospiTal. AT The HospiTal and The Dispensaries almosT all Types oT TreaTmenT are available To miliTar personnel and Their de- pendenTs. The HospiTal has a normal bed capaciTy oT Four Hundred PiTTy l45Ol beds. The MoTor Pool manned by The DeTachmenT personnel Turnishes ambulance service To The enTire posT and ouTlying areas including ambulances Tor The Tiring ranges, bivouacs and occasional Trips To Valley Forge General HospiTal and The New York PorT oT EmbarkaTion.
