From Ocfober I948 unfil March I949, fhe division followed an eighf week fraining program. In March I949 fhe program was increased fo I4 weeks. On Camp Chaffee's 75.000-acre reservafion, as many as l8,000 men af one fime have frained wifh fhe division.
