T. 925th FIELD ARTILLERY BATTALIO EDGAR A. CLARKE LIEUTENANT COLONEL COMMANDING, 925th FIELD ARTILLERY Lieutenant Colonel Edgar A. Clarke was born in Osawatomie, Kansas, on August 30, 1912, and entered the United 935 d S d L' ut ant States Military Academy in 1931. He was graduated from West Point on June 12, 1 , commissione a econ I6 en of Field Artillery and assigned to the 15th Field Artillery at Fort Sam Houston, Texas. He was transferred to Fort Winfield Scott, California, and on June 12, 1938, he was promoted to First Lieutenant. He served for a year and nine months at Schofield Barracks, Hawaii, and in September, 1940, he attended the Field Artillery b 9 1940 he was romoted to Captain, After serving at Fort Hoyle, Maryland, he was os- Regular Course. On Septem er , , p signed to the Field Artillery Field Officers' Course in June, 1942, and during the same month he was promoted to Mayor. On October 10, 1942, he was assigned to the 100th Division as executive officer of the 374th Field Artillery Battalion f I tin the Division Artillery Officers' Course On June 6, 1943, he was assigned to the 925th Field Artillery as a ter comp e g - Battalion Commander, and was promoted to Lieutenant Colonel on October 11, 1943.
