This requires the ultimate in teamwork between yellow and blue shirts to ensure that aircraft spotting is performed safely with only inches to spare. On any given day as many as 35 oi CVW-3 ' ?. 70 aircraft are in the hangar bay getting much-needed maintenance. The crew works around the clock to support the ship and the air wing team, helping to meet our operational requirements. V-3 Division also mans Repair Locker One-Hotel and is responsible for tire fighting in the largest space on the ship. They have been singled out by AIRLANT as the best hangar deck fire fighting team on the East Coast and have been a leader in using the new self-contained breathing apparatus to combat fires.
