MmMmK MMm ' himsi am From October 26 through November 27, USS HARRY S. TRUMAN (CVN 75) experienced its first Pre- Overseas Movement (POM) period. This time in port provided both HSTand its crew time to make any last minute preparations for deployment. Virtually every day during POM hundreds of pallets of supplies were brought aboard as HARRY S. TRUMAN ensured its storerooms were full prior to its maiden voyage. POM was also a time for the Sailors and Marines of HST to spend time with their families. Many took leave so they could enjoy the last month before deployment with their loved ones. It was also a time to ensure that all affairs were in order. The POM period was valuable to HST and its crew. Both took this time to make final preparations before they embarked on their historic voyage. 112
