ieutenant Commander David A. Mee was born in Manhattan, New York and was raised in London. England. He graduated from Liverpool University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Sociology in 1981. He was commissioned an Ensign in the United States Navy at Officer Candidate School in Newport, Rhode Island in June 1982. Hisjirst tour in the U.S. Navy was in USS FOX ICG-331 where he served as the Anti-Submarine Warfare Officer until November 1985. After completing Engineering Offi- cer of the Watch training at Surface Warfare Officers School Command, Coronado, CalU'omia, he reported aboad USS OGDEN ILPD-51 where he served as the Main Propulsion Ojicer until February 1988. After graduating from Surface Waqfare Officers Depart- ment Head course in October 1988, he reported to USS VANDEGRIFT I FF G-48 1 as the Engineer Omcer In 1990 he transferred to the Staf of Commander: Destroyer Squadron twenty-Three as the Materials Officer and later was assigned duties as the Sta,U'Anti-Submarine Warfare Oiicer Zreeraiae We Qemfj? We .feafeemf 6152721725 f' Qdzrfeafcgafaf My LCDR Mee was then assigned in May 1993 to the Surface Warfare Officers School Command, Newport, Rhode Island to serve as an Irtstructor and the Academic Director at the Division Ojjicer Course. Returning to sea duty upon completion of the PXO training pipeline, he reported to USS MONTEREY ICG-611 in July 0fI995 as the Executive Officer LCDR Mee wears the Navy Commendation Medal Cfour awardsl. PEARY IFF-10732 serv- ing as ASW Officer and M-Division Officer Next, he reported to USS GOLDSBOROUGH IDDG-202 as the Main Propulsion Assistant, which was hallowed by an assignment at Jack- sonville University as instructor ofthe W-new LCDR James P Wtha, a native of Brook- field, Illinois, is a graduate of Marquette Univesity with a B.
