Foreword . . . Today's Medical Center stands as a monumental tribute to those who planned and organized its beginnings over a halt-century ago. Physical growth and expansion has been paralleled by the broad scope of study, researchvand activity within. ' Not only are there students in the four main schools of dentistry, medicine, nurs- ing and pharmacy, but also, associated professions as Well. As a university campus, the Medical Center is unique. Students here already have behind them some college back- ground and, for the most part, have set- tled down to concentrate on their chosen fields. Cooperation between schools has resulted in formation' of the ASUCMC which helps coordinate the separate student bodies both academically and socially. Since all phases of the medical pro- fessions should aid and abet one an- other's functions in promoting and achieving healthful living, today's stu- dents who will be in tomorrow's commu- nities can greatly benefit themselves and the persons they serve by having a firm acquaintanceship with their allied fields.
