OT so many years ago a united cam- pus at the Medical Center was just an idea, something of which the more enlightened and progressive minds merely dreamed. These castles in the air are Worthless if lasting, substantial foundations are not laid to support them. The year 1940 institutes a new era in the history of the Medical Center. In it the first spadefuls of earth marking the beginnings of these substructures have been turned. By the publication of this book We, THE ASSOCIATED STUDENTS OF THE MEDICAL CENTER, have made a definite forward step toward a mutually beneficial understanding. lf we succeed only in the unification of the students of the component schools, We feel that the l94O MEDICAL CENTER has been completely successful.
