DOROTHY POTTS All three classes in the School of Nursing are united in the Student Body, whose activities and perplexing finances are gov- erned by the Executive Council. The year was begun with interest concentrated upon welcoming the Freshmen into the School and aiding in their orientation. The Big and Little Sisters were invaluable to the program outlined for acquainting the new students with their new environment. The Open House which followed, very successfully enabled the Freshmen to make contacts and broaden their acquaintances. This introduction was followed by a very busy social calendar including a Weiner Roast, Christmas Party and two Hotel Dances. During the year the lending library was substantially enlarged by purchases of modern fiction and gifts of magazines from the faculty.

MARY KUHL ALICE FLYNN Seam Glam President . I . MARY KUHL Vice-President . . . ALICE FLYNN Secretary . . CAMILLA MARTIN 'Traditionally self-confident and awe-inspiring, the senior class grows senti- mental when considering its third year-that in which its two sections finally grow to be one. There are memories of Freshman tears and hopes: the lunior slump: first baths and deliveries: and dates with the Fraternities. It discovered the Coop and Irving Street: sun bathing on the roofg the call roomy night duty. lt has lived through the gruts. It has seen the house officers change and known the hospital grapevine. Gripe sessions have continued through the three years. When ward work and case studies and field trips have not interfered, there were class meetings and parties, the traditional Junior-SeniorVBanquet, and the presentation of a class play. ' Unofficially, the greatest enthusiam lay in a round oi announcement parties- weddings-and showers, both for brides and a mother-to-be. The class leaves to be scattered from San Francisco to the East Coast for further schooling. Some follow the romance of travel. Others will return to Cal for Public Health. However, many will stay here to practice nursing with their Alma Mater.
