One should note that UCLA can function as a self sufficient UCLA ' s facilities include a top notch Medical Center and numerous research facilities, a comprehensive Student Store, KLA (the campus radio station), a photo portrait studio, graphic services for all printing needs, The Daily Bruin (the daily paper on campus), and nearly a dozen other publications. The ASUCLA (Associated Students of UCLA) is an empire unto itself and conducts thousands upon thousands of dollars worth of business worldwide each year. There are, of course, dormitories and suites which house in excess of 4500 students. Recreation facilities abound on the UCLA campus as well.
