The council also strives to foster a spirit of cooperation among the students and faculty. It endeavors to maintain a high standard of personal conduct for the school. The Student Council is a practical means by which students may gain experience in govern- ment and leadership. The council was unable to function completely this year because of the split schedule, However, the council officers sponsored a party after the Homecoming Game and a Valentine Party, as well as the Goodwill Clothing Drive. Miss Barbara Ball was honored at a party given by the Student Council after the homecoming game. The Student Council's successful annual Valentine Dance was given the name Sweetheart Swing this year. Our versatile and popular president is shown at the Senior Day reception.
