There was an air of excitement as the parents searched to find their children's classrooms, meet their teachers, and look at the student's work. The National Honor Society and the Student Council aided the parents if they got lost or confused. OPE HOUSE The teachers explained to the parents what the children were doing and what they wanted to do in the months ahead. They also explained their grading procedures and their discipline methods. After the parents completed their tours, they returned to Anderson Hall where the PTF had refreshments waiting.

Y Q- FS' Activities for the new school year began long before opening day. To welcome the new headmaster, Dr. Carle Hunt, a reception was held in his honor on August 2, 1981, in Anderson Hall. Parents and students enjoyed refreshments and fellowship as they learned more about T.S.C.A., the new headmaster, and the new school year ahead. On August 20, 1981, the high school students and faculty met for orientation in Anderson Hall, NEW BEGINNINGS The headmaster shared some ideas for the new school year, the teachers were introduced, and the students were given their schedules. Following orientation, everyone boarded the buses and were off for a day of swimming, eating, and sharing with old and new friends alike. At last, on August 24, 1981, opening day arrived. Many parents were present at the assembly with the students, in which Dr. Hunt was introduced, various awards were presented, and students were directed to their classes. Later, a reception was given for the parents. 93
