'75-'77 - 5 il The bicentennial year, 1976, brought a special excitement to our nation and our school. Band and Choir programs were added to the curriculum. The first annual Junior-Senior Prom was held at the Royal Coach Inn. A very special parent-support organization, The Booster Club, was also formed in 1976 to aid the athletic department. They sprang into action almost immediately with the purchasing of two new buses in 1977, paid for by fund raising projects. The Lady Crusaders, the girls basketball teams, were added to the sports line-upjust in time for the first annual basketball homecoming held in 1977. The most exciting progression of 1977, however, was the ground breaking, building, and opening ofa new High School building complete with a spacious new gym and seven new classrooms. Change and progression certainly prevailed through the years 1975-1977.
