Open House Draws Visilors A late September open house displayed the latest additions to the college-Bonna Bess Vaughn Con- servatory, George W. Pirtle Technology Building No. 3 and A. F. Sledge Dormitory. An added bonus that pleased students, faculty and taxpayers was that all three were debt free the day they opened-and with no bond issue or increase in taxes. Homecoming '77 honored the Apache Band and Apache Belles for their 30th anniversary. At the Alumni Association luncheon Athletic Director Floyd Wagstaff presented awards to former Belle Director Eva Saunders and former band director Vice President Edwin Fowler. Despite a premature burning of the bonfire, a rebuilt one blazed right on schedule. A float winner in the downtown parade was Campus Christian Center with its love float. A Sigma Phi Epsilon representative got the plaque for their winning entry. Homecoming queen was sophomore Tammy Haden of Pasadena representing Alpha Tau Omega. ln a Belle style show, a modern Belle danced in the original Indian costume. . . t ,. '-', l l-X LI-,.
