MM The Methodist Student Movement seeks to promote religion on the campus by a three- fold emphasisg worship, study, and service. MSM established in 1955 operates under the Texas Methodist Student Movement. It is also affiliated with the National Student Movement, the National Student Christian Federation and the World Student Christian Federation. Members attended a regional leadership training conference last summer and the state conference, Thanksgiving. M is W , ,. Sirfe? ' HZ! The student-led Baptist Student Union began as :1 small organi- zation about fifteen years ago on the campus located at the present john Tyler High School. The BSU year is highlighted with such events as the Valentine Party, coke parties, and numerous guest speakers. The purpose of BSU is the linking of the student with his church. BSU members strive to keep a time for devotion, for study, for recreation, and for rest. Linda Cox represented the organization in the beauty contest.
