Home Economics Club 'A' The Home Economics Club was organized at the beginning of this semester for the purpose of forwarding the interests of girls in the field of Home Economics. The Club was organized with the aid of Miss Alice Douglas: other sponsors are Miss Ella Mae Bailes and Miss Mary D. Walker. Club officers are Dixie Hall, president: Sunshine Tooke, vicefpresidentg Dorothy lane Lindsay, secretaryg Rosalie Breedlove, treasurer, and Lorenia Mayer, reporter. The Flying Club 'k The Flying Club is a member of the National Intercollegiate Flying Club. Cflicers in this club are Edwin Arvin, president, Cscar Kellar, vicefpresidentg Ruth Dailey, secretary, and Derrell Tooke, reporter. The -lunior College has graduated a total of 74 pilots from its Civilian Pilot Training Program. This includes students from four classes: ten students from last year, twentyfnine from last summer, twenty from the first semester, and fifteen from the second semester of this year. Girls 1F oriuim i' ln the year 1931 the Tyler Girls Forum of the Junior College and the High School was organized by Mrs. Ernest Goens, then president of the Womans Forum of Tyler. Under the leadership of Miss Adele Henderson, the work was begun with the purpose of fostering the devel' opment of the girl's better self in order for her to become a better member of society. Since its beginning, the Forum has been the center of the activities of the girls of the college and of the high school. The ofiicers of the Forum for the year 19404941 are: President, Margaret Ann George: CofVicefpresidents, Helen Anderson and Louise Crews: Secretary, Theo .lo Wright: Coftreasurers, Helen Curtis and Dorothy jane Lindsay: and Sponsor, Miss Aileen Griifen. .lunior College Council consists of Norma Epperson, Lois Virginia Wood, Louise Crews, Dorothy lane Lindsay, Marvanette Gordon, Marcia Moneysmith, Mary Jo Bass, Frances Gean Thompson, Dorris Greer, Winifred Main, Louise McLane, Marianna Wilson, Dixie Hall, Verna Lee McCutchin, Martha joe Hawes, Virginia Pinkerton, and Mary Jane Satterlield. The highlight of the year is the StatefWide Girls Week which the Hon. james Allred proclaimed on March 10, 1936. This year recognition and honor will be given to The Girls of the Week of the College and High School.
