lP'lh1iiTheta Kappa ir The Alpha Cmicron Chapter of Phi Theta Kappa was established in 1930 upon the initiative of Miss Mildred Howell, who became its sponsor. Witli all plans centering around the National Convention in Sacramento, California on April 16, 17, and 18, this year, 1941, has been an especially active one for the chapter. The highlight of the convention, for our chapter, was the election of Vs7inifred Main as National Second VicefPresident for next year. Members of the organization for the year are Martha joe Hawes, President: R. L. Mayne, VicefPresidentg Betty Joe McKay, Secretary, Arthur Williziiiis, Treasurerg Betty june Hill, Reporter, Ruby King, Norma Epperson, Lucille Willianis, Gibson Cray, -loe Reynolds, Kenneth Rasco, Mary Helen Ray, Louise Crews, Sue Aiken, Laura Louise Glenn, Bob Cole, Earl Lawver, Janice Conley, Marie Phaup, Farland Bundy, Earline Muckleroy, Winifred Main, Philip Wtmll', Arnold Rubin, Wiley Roosth, Virginia Allen, Dorothy Nell Chumley, Clyde Massey, Roland Whyte, Vernon Turner, Janet Anderson, Mary Alice Edson, LaVerne Wilhite, James Rushing, Milton Dingler, and Joyce Harrell.

The Engineers Club ir M 3 The Engineers Club is composed of students interested in the various fields of engineering. The Club was organized to promote good fellowship among the future representatives of this profession and to enlighten them on the possibilities of its different branches. These objectives were ac' complished by making field trips to the various engineering firms. This year the Club made four field trips: to the electric power plant at Trinidad, the Tyler iron foundry, a photofcopy plant, and the lvlclvlurray Cil Rehnery. Furthermore, the Club was very active in both athletic and social affairs: it sponsored a basket ball team in the City League, and it presented a College minstrel and two dances.
