Junior Civitan A true asset to the school, this club strives to encourage within its member- ship the basic qualities of good citizen- ship. The membership meets on the second and fourth Wednesdays of each month in the room of its sponsor, Mr. Terrell, to carry out its business and make plans for future activities. During this year the Junior Civitan Club engaged in two major projects: the sale of fruitcakes during the Christmas season and, throughout the year, the sale of classical books. The latter project is a great convenience for the student body as well as a money maker for the club. Working closely with Mr. Terrell in leading the club are the following officers pictured at right: Dennis Marin .................... President Jimmy Barr . . . . . Vice-President Aimee Alsup .... ...... S ecretary :NE aaftw:aSs.S3Seew3mvWMM.NW gn, f- WMM 1 is 115

Junior Lettermen The Junior High Lettermen are very important p e ople to the Two Rivers athletic program. Training now for future varsity competition, these athletes deserve the full sup- port of the entire student body. The f r e s h m a n football team completed its first winning season with a 5- 3 record, losing only to Don- elson, McMurray, and Antioch. The junior high basketball team also enjoyed a good season. Senior Lettermen Athletics is the spice of life at Two Rivers. Our school has enjoyed a lion's share of victories in having won the Class AA trophy and in participating for two years in post-seasonal bowl games. Football, however, was not the only area of athletic superior- ity. The very first Two Rivers golf team captured the NIL Golf Championship. Opponents felt the presence of Two Rivers' might al- so in basketball, baseballand track competitions. Those who worked hardest, play e d hardest, and were most conscientious in their preparation are the ones pictured. THE CUTLASS salutes these outstanding athletes of Two Riv- ers. 4

Y-Teens Club Without adoubt, this is one of the most active ofthe new clubs at Two Rivers. Or- ganized in late October of this school year, it is a strong, responsible club led by Mrs. Anderson and Mrs. Malone, the co-sponsors. The goals ofthe Y- Teens are: to grow as a person, to grow in friendship with people of all races, religions, and nationalities, to grow in the knowledge and love of God. Included in this year's list of projects and activities were: the joint Christmas pro- gram with the Key Club at T.P.S. for the underprivileged, World Fellowship Fashion Show, workers supplied for Teen Fair Booth, and possibly the achievement of which they are proudest, their success in having the Two Rivers' representative, Mr. Longcore of Pi- rates' Cove, elected Man of the Year . Always striving to improve the club are its capable officers: Carol Frazier . . . . . . . . . . . . . President Nancy Pewitt . . . . . .
