French Club Sponsored by Miss Garman, this club helps students become better acquainted with French customs and language . As their sponsor has studied in southern France, club members have the opportunity of learning first-hand information on the subject. Learning French songs and games is one activity ofthe club. Another is the produc- tion of skits in the language. Reading PARIS MATCH, a French magazine, and studying the history and art of that country help mem- bers extend their knowledge of this gay and romantic culture. Spanish Club To promote a stronger ap- preciation of Spanish culture is the purpose of this club. One project planned to carry out this idea was the school as- sembly program presented in January. Another activity was the raising of money from var- ious projects in order to add materials to the s c ho ol lan- guage laboratory. Sponsored by Miss Alley, members of the Spanish Club see film s and learn Spanish games at their afternoon meet- ings. Latin Club A member of the Junior Classical League, the Latin Club serves to enrich the lives of members with further ac- quaintance with the c 1a s s i c s . Meeting with Miss Moore, their sponsor, mem- bers planned a Roman Banquet, as well as a school assembly program. Espe- cially interesting a c t iv it i e s for some members were the Tennessee J.C.L. con- vention held at Vanderbilt, and the Na- tional J. C. L. convention held in Kentucky.
