Science Club To promote interest and increase know- ledge in all fields of science, this club has hadmanyactivities. Films, field trips, and lectures by outside speakers have provided the opportunities for such a purpose. Exper- iments by the members with scientific ap- paratus have allowed them to gain skill in the science laboratory and to observe re- actions of materials which cannot be used in regular classroom sessions. An important activity of the science club was the sponsoring of the annual Two Rivers Science Fair. Members provided informa- tion and assistance in scientific work to other students. Forensic Club One of the most active clubs during the past year has been the Forensic Club. This club had the distinct honor of becoming a member of the National Forensic League. an honor society for high school clubs. This status was won only after much competitive speaking by the Forensic members in Metro meets. The oratorical and extemporaneous presentations, debates, and drama in which members compete require much work and diligence, and offer the participants valuable experience in becoming effective speakers. Math Club The membership of this club consists of interested math students whose purpose is to stimulate an interest in mathematics, as well as to increase their mathematical lmowy ledge. With this goal in mind the meetings have included field trips and speakers on subjects not covered in the regular class- room curriculum. Such activities as field trips to computer centers have served to make more interesting the basic principles of mathematics.
