Three large wax candles are especial- ly prepared for this ceremony in the home. The first candle is lit just before Christmas din- ner. The second is lit Christmas Day, and the third on New Year's Day when the Christmas festivities end. After caroling up and the winding streets, tirecrackers burst out announcing i mass in Formosa. Forensic Club One of the most active clubs during the past year has been the Forensic Club. This club had the distinct honor of becoming a member of the National Forensic League. an honor society for high school clubs. This status was won only after much competitive speaking by the Forensic members in Metro meets. The oratorical and extemporaneous presentations, debates, and drama in which members compete require much work and diligence, and offer the participants valuable experience in becoming effective speakers. The Forensic Club is sponsored by Mrs. Peggy Welch, Mrs. Betty Welch, and Miss Latimer. The Forensic Club is sponsored by Mrs. Peggy Welch, Mrs. Betty Welch, and Miss Latimer.
