BUCS STOP YANKS-32-O The Pirates bounced back from the Stratford loss by overwhelming North 32-O. Two Rivers combined an explosive offense witha stingy defense to take its fifth Class AA victory. Jerry Wright scored twice on punt returns of 45 and 48 yards. Larry Von Boeckman put Two Rivers on the scoreboard with a 12 yard touchdown re- ception in the first quarter. Defensive standouts were linebackers Tommy Locke, and guard Terry Reeves. The Pirate defenders allowed only three first downs. TWO RIVERS WINS AA CHAMPIONSHIP Hendersonville, which ended its season with a 4-2 record, took a 6-0 lead in the second quarter ona49 yard passing play. Two Rivers' tenacious defense proved invincible through- out the rest of the game while the offensive team traveled to a third quarter touchdown. The extra point proved to be the difference as the Bucs captured their ninth win and their first football championship. 1 9
