TWO RIVERS ASTOUNDS DONELSON-7-6 The unbeaten Pirates won their biggest game of the season by defeating Big Nine rival, Donelson, 7-6. A crowd of 6500 spectators witnessed the birth of an annual gridiron classic between the neighboring Donelson schools. Two Rivers kicked off and immediately thwarted the Donelson offense, forcing a punt. Then the Pirates ex- tended their streak of first quarter scoring when adrive was capped with .a nine yard touchdown pass from Dicky Dixon to Larry Von Boeckman. Dwight Cawthen converted to make the score 7-0. Donelson got its score on a two yard plunge by Johnny Kyle in the second period after a Pirate fumble had given the Dons the ball. But Fred Wheeler broke through to block the extra point attempt and Two Rivers took a 7-6 lead into the locker room at half -time. In the third quarter neither team posed a serious scoring threat. In the final period the Pirates moved the ball all the way to the Donelson two yard line before the drive was stopped by a fumble. A last minute Donelson rally proved unsuccessful as Two Rivers won its biggest victory in the school's short history. R25
