On the big day we were made to dress in short skirts, knee socks, wear dunce caps, and carry teakettles at all times. Walter Torgerson was our Presidentg Marilyn Luchau, Vice President5 Allen Erickson, Sacretary5 and Pearl Dalby, Treasurer. Our class of 48 was advised by Mr. Sundby. This was the year the Twin Valley High School Girls Chorus was invited to sing at the Minnesota State Fair. Our Carnival Queen was Coleen Saker, the Freshman candidate. 5

In the fall of 1956 we returned to school as Sophomores. Many things happened this year to improve the entire school. First of a all, Mr. Fredrick, our band director, started an orchestra and believe it or not, we received a first rating at the District con- test held at Pda. Another good thing that happened was the danc- ing that was permitted in the school, after Friday night basketball games and at the Junior-Senior Prom.
