Our A dministration In the fall of 1967 the ship TWIN SPRINGS set sail for its maiden voyage. Its crew and officers had been assembled from smaller ships which had now been dry docked. At the helm of the ship was the captain, an experienced school administrator. During the first trips of the ship, things went rather smoothly with only an occasional storm. Then as the crew became more accustomed to the ship, they became occasionally dissatisfied. Long lines discouraged them, educational practices oppressed them, discipline irritated them. The captain had to step in and calm the crew. Sometimes he had to take a mutinous student to his quarters and make him walk the plant to see the error of his ways. Yet the captain did this, not in anger, but with a firm belief that, just as he was to guide the entire ship on the best course, he was to help guide each individual student on his way to his ultimate destination in life. The TWIN SPRINGS has sailed for five years now. It has weathered some storms, survived treacherous seas, and calmed some turbulent waters. And all this time, the ship has been captained by an able, experienced, and dedicated man who wants TWIN SPRINGS to be sailing ever onward. This man is Mr. James Fugate Reasor. provides leadership 1 “Now you’ll have to learn to be a good little girl, Sandra,” said Mr. ! ' Blackwell, “or I’ll have to expel you again.” HORACE BLACKWELL Assistant Principal Our assistant principal, Mr. Horace Blackwell, played an active role in keeping the school running smoothly. Besides teaching a geography class and being a study hall teacher, Mr. Blackwell was responsible for taking care of the admittance slips which allowed the students to enter class. By taking a sincere interest in the students and activities of our school, Mr. Blackwell has remained a constant source of encouragement to Twin Springs. Mrs. Anne Dixon is kept busy ad- vising and helping students as guid- ance counselor at Twin Springs. Not only does she give students potential tests, but she spends each day filling out references to colleges and employment offices, and listen- ing to someone’s problems. Mrs. Dixon assists the students in their schedules for the next academic year. Taking time to work on student registra- tion is one of Mrs. Dixon’s many tasks. MRS. ANNE B. DIXON Guidance Counselor
