Junior Audubon Club The junior Audubon Club which was organized in 1947 and was under the super- vision of Mrs. Lowell held many very interesting and informative meetings. The club met every other Tuesday at which time reports on different birds were pre- sented by members of the club and contests on bird recognition were held. The club is affiliated with the National junior Audubon Society. Club officers were as follows: President Raymond Lennon Vice- President Catherine McGee Secretary-Treasurer Vernon Evans Harvest Dance On the evening of October Z7 the Senior Class with the assistance of the other classes sponsored a Harvest Dance in the Auditorium with music by the Top l-Iatters. The hall was fittingly decorated with corn stocks and pumpkins and the harvest colors. A costume party preceded the dance with many attractive costumes by members of the elementary grades. A large crowd attended and a good time was had by all. Food Sale A food sale was held in the gymnasiurn during and after the Dow Academy game. Donations were made by the townspeople and the proceeds were used to pay for the cheerleaders' uniforms. The cheerleaders wish to thank all those who contributed in any way. Polio Benefit Game On Monday evening, january 30, the High School Athletic Association sponsored a benefit basketball game between the High School and the Town Team for the Polio Drive. The sum of S32 was turned over to Mrs. Leo Monahan, chairman of our community drive for this worthy cause. Z8
