KENNETH E. KAIL Vive Principal-Derm of Boys Congratulations to the students of T. F. H. S. upon the completion of another successful year. I sincerely hope that every student may look back on 1947-48 with a feeling of pride in a task well done and just a touch of regret that so many pleasant associations have now become memories. KENNETH E. KAIL 4 ROSE M. NORTH Coordinator of English-Dean of Girls It is particularly important in times of shifting values that education should help the student to discover worthy goals of effort. Twin Falls High School endeavors to offer oppor- tunity for experiences which will help every student give purposeful direction to his life. The educated person realizes that knowledge is not enough. Such qualities as initiative, responsibility, self-discipline, industry, and service to the common good all go into construc- tive citizenship. In our high school we have a high percentage of worthy citizens. They are preparing to he the men and women of tomorrow which the world needs. ROSE MURRAY NORTH

JOHN D. FLATT High School Principal 1 The higher the tree the deeper the roots. A tall tree with surface roots is easily blown down. So it is in education. If your ideals, your segments of knowledge and your elements of wisdom run deep, you will exhibit stability against all the vicissitudes of life. VVliile in high school, dig deep. Use your minutes and days to construct a formidable personality. Then you will pierce all clouds of misunderstanding, and see the world as a hopeful place in which to live. JOHN D. FLATT.
