' , V Kathy Spezza- editor 24 Twa1ity's School newspaper, the Trojan Tribune, is published approximately once every three weeks by the journalism class, which is composed of ninth grade students. The first issue appears somtime in late October, because the class spends the first two months of school learning the fundamentals of journalistic writing. Our paper is produced by the mimiograph method. The journey of a news story from source to the printed page might be something like this: 1. Reporter gets the information from his news source. 2. Reporter writes story in correct style. 3. Story is handed to the news editor for checking. 4. Story is handedto typeset for typing in correct form. 5. Typed stories are given back to editors to be posi- tioned on a page mock-up or dummy . 6. The dummy is handed to the ftypist for final typ- ing. on the stencil. 7. Headlines are hand lettered on typed stencils. 8. Papers are printed on the mimiograph machine. 9. Pages are assembled and distributed to the student body.
