CLASS HISTORY In September of 1946 a group of very scared boys and girls started to school. During that year under the watchful eye of Mrs. Petree and Mrs. Thomas we learned to work and play together. The second semester Loretta Spain, Gary Cur- lee, Richard Farris, Terry Henderson, Barbara Gaidaroff, Carolyn Cherry, Patsy Main, Jerry Eades, Barbara Givens, Jana Harlan, Leonard Robinett, and I, Don Copeland, were joined by Patsy Autry. After the first year we lost Janna to Chickasha school. The second year was uneventful except for an occasional disagreement between the teacher and students, which took no time to straighten out. In the last semester of the third grade Lex Pierce joined us. At the beginning of the fourth year Ray Gibson came to suffer with us. Barbara Givens left the summer of that year. The fifth year was uneventful but in the sixth Janna and Barbara, two of ourold classmates, returned. We also had a newcomer that year, Bobby Carel. The seventh year went along pretty well with the help of Mr. Spain's paddle. Leonard Robinett, in his fifth, sixth, and seventh years of school went to California in the first semester of each year but returned the second semester of each year to finish with us. After receiving our eighth grade diploma Clarence Corley joined us to learn the ways of highschool. After a semester of trying to find our classes Den- nis Steen came to help us Our Sophomore year went along smoothly Jack Col lins came at the first of our Junior year to help us with the Junior and Senior Banquet which went off nicely Don Gilbreath and Ann Stewart started with us our last year David W il son Joined the second semester to graduate with us This completes the brief history of our class through school We now look eagerly ahead to see what the future years will bring us ANNUAL STAFF ...ff LEFT TO RIGHT Don Copeland Assistant Editor Loretta Spain Business Manager Sharon Hartin Freshman Representative H C Kettler Advertising Manager Lex PIEFCB hd1tO1' GaI'yCur1ee Photographer
