When the joys of school are over, and the great world opens wide, three hun- dred students will look back upon the school year, 1935-'36, as a most interest- ing and enjoyable one. Aided by the cooperation of the stud- ent body, this year's executive staff has been able to forward numerous outstand- ing activities, including excellent assemb- lies, and student dances sponsored by the Senior Class, Girls' League, and P.-T. A. respectively. The inaugural Freshman initiation pro- gram, held Friday, September 20, started the year off with enthusiasm. In the usual ritual, paddling, hair-pulling and devour- ing of raw foods were only a few of the dreaded performances in which the Frosh were engaged. Rube Day, an annual feature, was held April I. Grotesque and humorous wear-- ing apparel of all sizes and shapes were dragged from family attics and proudly displayed during an entire day of foolish- ness. The annual plaque, presented to the class with the highest percentage in costume, was won by the Sophomores.
