Uonincilpafa Cvvleahaqe Football is a rough game---too rough for high school or football is a rough, hard game---just what we need in high school . Take your choice. Personally I think that high school football, properly conducted, is well nigh indispensable. lt is our first he-man developer. Many a former molly- coddle would still be a mollycoddle but for the hard knocks received in football. If you can not take orders, never try to give orders. Many a boy has learned this truth on the football field. Some boys respect nothing but brute force. Football supplies plenty of brute force but it does far more. It also offers wonderful training in team work or cooperation, yet develops leadership. lt can not make a man out of nothing but many times it does wonders with unpromising material. Fashions change but let us hope that we will continue to play good, hard football. ---I. W. Means.

t , Clfice UDnlncl5Jall'A fVVle1.macau-1 A great all-around back, Berwangerl Now finishing his collegiate career, Berwanger would run any team in the coun- try out of gas if he had the 1935 Ohio State front wall or the 1934 Minnesota line breaking ground for him. Thus wrote Red Grange for the November seventh, 1935 Saturday Even- ing Post. Teamwork! All of us can recall occasions on which every member at home or in a group at school worked unselfishly and enthusiastically for a common cause. We can remember the splendid results and the happiness each one felt in the achievement. The larger, more hopeless appearing problems have grown from the smaller ones. Likewise, great power for good is developed through noble purposes and united action. With all good wishes to Tustin Union High School stud- ents and the hope they may be recognized factors for making this world a better place for everyone, ---Emma B. Hield.
