CLASS HISTORY On August 28,1958, the seventy-seven members of the Freshman Class meekly approached the newly-built high school to start four years of higher education. We put our trust in Bob Wetzel as President, Morrie Reece as Vice-President, Jerryl Welbom as Secretary, Marsha Graham as Treasurer, and Judy Wright as Student Council Representative. Our activities were guided by Miss Weaver and Mr. Cain. The theme of our Freshman float was T.C. H. S. Raids'em, which we regret didn’t win anything. We welcomed to our class, Naomi Howard and Rosie Fults, but we also bade farewell to Mary Bierman, Hazel Cross, Rex Evans, Jim Newberry, Ray Wilhelm, and Anna Lee Wilson. There were seventy-three members to start our Sophomore year. Our leaders were Jim Manwaring, President; Marsha Graham, Vice-President; Jane Dunn, Secretary; Dick Bean, Treasurer; and Judy Wright, Student Council Representative. Mrs. Lionberger, Mr. Cain, and Miss Weaver were our sponsors. Our float, Genie-wine Victory, tied third place with the F. H.A. float. We were pleased to gain as classmates, John Campbell, Katherine Hood, Harold Fonner, and Janice Stoner. We said good-bye to Betty Thode, Sharon Henderson, and Dianne Houchin. Our officers for our Junior year were Morrie Reece, President; Jane Rothgeb, Vice-President; Jane Dunn, Secretary; Marsha Graham, Treasurer; and Judy Wright, Student Council Representative. To guide us through the year were Miss Weaver, Mr. Cain, and Mrs. Lionberger. This year our float was even better. We won second place! Our theme was We Don’t Clown With Victory. Our undefeated football team was honored as the Okaw Champs. Around Christmas time everyone was excited to hear our class rings had finally arrived. Some acting abilities were discovered when the Junior Class presented the play, Love is Too Much Trouble, directed by Miss Weaver. Peggy Dickson and Louis Hope-well entered our class, but Linda Brinkley, Kenny Billings, Roy Lietz, and Bob O’Bryan left. Toward the end of the school year, we held the Junior-Senior Prom. Bob Norman spotlighted the evening with his band. Our theme was a beautiful Cinderella Ball. Our Senior year started out with a bang. First of all, our float won third place. It was a big chicken with the slogan, We're Laying for V. G. We were very proud of Paul Donley and Barbara Lecher as our Homecoming King and Queen. The Senior Class play was a hugh success, directed by Mrs. Kataoka. Although we lost from our class Rita Stabler, Dee Dee Ingle, and Katherine Hood, we gained Shirley Thomas. Mrs. Kataoka, Mr. Butkovich, and Miss Weaver were our class sponsors. Officers were: Morrie Reece, President; Barbara Lecher, Vice-President; Marsha Graham, Secretary; Willis Yoder, Treasurer; John Gernon, Student Council Representative. Miss Magnusson and Miss Sluss were our yearbook advisors. Baccalaureate was held on May 27 and on May 29,1962, we marched from the building as graduates of T. C. H. S. Lynne Reese W.illa Tice
