Inside the dome we see Professor Robert Kingery hovering over his latest invention. Working noisely nearby are his three faithful assistances; Tube Technician, Carole Stackhouse; Antenna Rotor, June Armstrong; and Dial Twister, Jane Armstrong. The Professor’s voice thunders above the silence, ‘’Contact!” Slowly coming to focus on his teleunivision screen is the longed sought planet. Earth, with our beam catching Hong Kong. China. Trotting down the main streetie we find Coolie Wee-Ling Delbert Willison struggling with the cart of Honorable Doctor Bevling Jolley on an extra special visit to the hospital to attend to the wounds of the three world famous bicycle racers; “High Gear” Jon Manwaring, “Low Gear” Dean Eryart, and “Just Plain Gear” Larry Stabler. They are all in serious condition with a nose bleed, broken fingernail, and a floor burn, but who wouldn’t get well with the able assistance of die staff nurses, Marjorie Kleiss and Marcella Lecher. Our beam catches the Eiffle Tower in Paris, France and what's that we see on top of the tower? The famous artist Corinne Tabor painting a bird’s eye view of the sun. Her assistant, Jack Hood, is busily mixing the beautiful colors that shall go into her painting, YELLOW! At the famous Maxime’s Night Club, under new management of the co-owners, Jim Haus-mann, and Carol Kibler, we hear the music of the well known torch singer, Sharon “Bubbles Cookie” Cook, accompanied by Patricia Ann Howard and her Firehouse Four; Nella “Blow” Hammack on the tuba, Shirley “Muscles” Barbee on the drums, Sherron Ellis on the harmonica, and Bonnie Kresin on the comb. Seated around one of the tables we see Sharon Moore and her noted circus acrobatic family with their manager, Mike Payne, Mike has the title of the “Shortest” man of the circus. T raveling to the deepest heart of the Congo, we see on the banks of a jungle river, neon lights flashing brightly, “Bonnie “Curlie” Schultz’s Beauty Shoppe. Inside, while Bonnie is busily giving the canibals Long-Life Permanents, the famous speech cor recti onest, Betty Michener reads Hamlet and Macbeth, as the cannibals sop it up. Farther down the river our teleunivision screen sees the Missionary School of Susie Helm and Judy Timm. Inside we see Judy and Susie engrossed in a hot game of marbles. Coming around the corner of the Mission, we hear Judy Baird pounding out the rhythm of “Hold That Tiger” while the well-Known Model, Jane Sturgell, learns the “African Tort” from the graceful ballet dancer, Vonda “Twinkle Toes” Branham. Moving along the river the screen passes a huge fishing cruiser owned by the world traveler, Tom Bruffey. Sun-bathing on the deck is Tom’s friend, Stanton Dotson, President of Wake Island. The captain. Chuck King, shouts for all to look starboard side. They turned just in time to see Ed Miller, Champion Creek Swimmer, with a rope tied around his neck. What’s that he is pulling? Why, it’s Carol Clapper, practicing her aqua-skiing! Our teleunivision screen now moves far North to the icy Artie, and we slowly catch on our screen the outline of an ice igloo, the only building for miles around. Inside this small structure, we hear the friendly voice of Marilyn Waters telephoning long-distance to Anna Lee Mevis at the South Pole to send her a fresh shipment of ice-cubes. She ran out! Moving over the snow, our screen spots the booming business of Mary Meyers, and Annis Moss. They are in the trading business, but since there are no humans around, they trade snowballs with each other. Oh, but we were mistaken, there are more humans up here. We see the trail--side stand of Bonnie Sanderson and Sandra Parrish. They seem to be selling anti-freeze to the animals of the North so they won’t freeze up. As our screen moves on to Canada we see “Marty Lemkau driving her own handmade racer down the dangerous track. Before she completed her racer, she ran short of money, and had to hire a motor, but the strong legs of Carol Hinners have provided her with super-duper power. We have now brought into view, the Great Lakes of America, and we see the only lake swimmer in the world. Errol Frahm. He has just completed his daily swim around the fish pood in Chicago’s Central Park. Mary Jo Kohler and Burma Koster wanted to buy a little city of their own so they pooled their dimes and nickels and bought Chicago. Moving Southwest, our screen barely catches a glimpse of the fastest train in the world owned by Joe Waldrop. The secret of the speed of the train is the fact that Joe hired the prettiest engineer in the country to operate it. This well known engineer, Carole Haney, could not run this train unless she had the assistance of Joan Rideout, Trusty Windshield Cleaner, and '‘Chuck Martin, the horn tooter. Our screen comes to rest on the friendly city of Tuscola, where our eyes are first caught by the improvement of our good old “TCHS.” They have installed an elevator, and it is operated by Richard “Dick” Marrs who fell in love with school. They have also added Diane Maloblock to the payroll for she agreed to do the assignments of any student for only $50 a lesson. She is having trouble drumming up business, though, because Jane Knobloch is doing assignments for only $49.99. At the desk of the principal, we see Ande Trinkle who has a slogan that all the students of “TCHS” follow, “Have fun at school.” Suddenly. Professor Robert Kingery calls to his three assistants to destroy his invention of the teleunivision because he can not stand to be so far away and yet so close to his “Home Sweet Home” and his former classmates of T.C.H.S.
