Chapter met and elected officers as follows, Bobby Sprinkle, president: joe Graham, wiceupresng 'Leon McFernin, secretaryg john Thomas Cunningham, treasure: 'jay'lee Touchstone, reporten: Billy Mac Stevens, farm watch dogg Bobby Dee Williams, song leadeng Mr. Tom Henry, advisor. 'Leon and Bobby attended the State Convention at Marshall, Texas in'july041 as delegates. Billy Sayles and Clovis Sanford also were present and received their'Lone Star Farmer Degree. 'The Chapter elected'jay'Lee Touchstone as delegate to the National F.F.A. Convention at Kansas City-in October, 1941. Billy Sayles, Lone Star Farmer was elected reporter of Area'IV. 'In December 1941, the Chapter sponsored a Father and Song Mother and Daughter Banquet, which was giwen in the gym. Mickey Anderson was crowned Queen of F.F.A. The workshop which has one thousand dollars of equipment will be permanent to the Vocational Agniculture classes, but will be used for National Defense by the adults until after the war. fIn the middle of the term there was a Pest Erabdiction Contestnin which Micheal Williams won for all three months. The pnizes were 22 nifle and two pockethknives. There will be an encampment of all the F.F.A. boys on BrownwoodfLakeain August, which will last three days. There will be from ten to fifteen schools represented here. Contest will be held among the schoolsmin swimming, boating, iishing, pitching of horseshoes and washers. Due to the shortage of hires, all state and area contest will be called off.
