Many additions to the shop have been made since that time. Some of these are: Tilt- ing arbor saw, wood and metal lathe, drill presses, electric welding, acetylene welding and many hand tools. We study the important phases of agriculture such as: Dairying, Poultry and Animal Husbandry, Farm Crops, Fruit Growing, Vegetable Gardening, Farm Management and diseases of crops and livestock. Each boy is required to carry at least one proiect each year in addition to his class and shop work. A wide variety of projects can be selected such as: Livestock, Field crops, Vege- table Gardening, Home Improvement, and Farm Records. -32-

We started by winning many well earned ribbons on our exhibits at the Juniata County Fair. The party for the Agricul- ture boys, school lunch, and style show followed. Then in our cooking department we purchased the following: 3 dozen cafeteria trays 1 dozen glasses 1 dozen plates We have remodeled an old living room suite, done some painting and purchased new stair pads. This has improved our Home Economics Cottage greatly. -33-
