CLASS PRCDPHECY After finishing my singing tour of the continent and returning to my villa on the Riviera I tried to settle down and think of the picture I was to be making soon The Uncommon Man with Elxis Presley It was then I decided to return home as my contract with International Films Incorporated would not go into effect for eight months This would give me the opportunity to enjoy a change of scenery By some conniving of the officials I obtained a seat on an airplane to the United States Boarding the plane in Paris I found that Joan Ault was our hostess for the flight home She said this was her last trip before her vacation We decided to go home to Tuscarawas together As we were flying across the Atlantic Ocean I became quite nervous and aske d Joan ifl might talk to the pilot Upon stepping into the cockpit whom should I see but Dtrrel Cox Soon we were gliding into the air terminal of Tuscarawas Descending from the plane I looked out to see a long black limousine From behind me I heard someone shout Make way for Congressman Sherer' Sure enough it was Kenny Sherer who alighted from the plane and step ped immediately into the awaiting limousine I was ready to get into our car, when Joan brought my attention to a very noticeable attractive blonde carrying a great amount of photography equipment She was taking pictures of Congressman Sherer I was then to find out this blonde was my McPeek the famous well known reporter and photographer Finally reaching downtown Tuscarawas we decided to register in what is now the largest registering we found it was owned by Margaret ICQ-pp whom I was very pleased to see Her per sonality had changed considerably She talked a streak to everyone and anyone probably more or less for business sake if I know Margaret She told us about her business 1nd business manager Beverly Rainsberg who makes a salary of EB21 O00 yearly By this time my appetite was soaring so Joan and I went downtown to eat While waiting for a cab we purchased an edition of the Mirror Times The editor in chief of this large newspaper was Everett who always did have a good nose for news Glancing then at the headlines I read Stanley to leave for Russia It was then I realized Thomas Stanley was now our new ambassador to Russia There was no envy shed for this guy We hailed a cab and told the driver where we wished to go Believe me he surely did take us' We tried to lean over the seat to get a good look at this mad man as he went tround turns on two wheels l-le kept switching his head lights on and off and playing around with his turn signals plus six dozen miscellaneous other things at the same time I recognized htm at once as Edward H111 who used to be the ll of our driver s training class Suddenly as we were approach ing a red light he jammed on the brakes and believe me his reaction time was such that both Joan and I were thrown head first into the front seat The radio which was playing but had shorted out came on with such a blast that it almost threw us back into our primary positions After the first blast we heard the most beautiful voice It was that of Janet Roth who was now regular of the Metropolitan Opera 21 ' 1 1 B A ' , . , 2 ' . , . , - . 7 I - I most luxurious hotel in Ohio. Suddenly Ed said, He'd have to get some gas and have his oil checked, so he pulled into a gas station, where a sign read goth, Campbell, and Johnson. Dave came running out, Jerry behind him, and they filled up the tank and checked the oil, Boy! They surely were glad to see us. We soon learned that by day they were accomplished scientists in their own private lab- oratories, We finally reached the downtown area of Tuscarawas and paid Ed for our ride. We had just started down the street when a large sign caught my eye. It read, Beck1ey's Esquisite De- signs . The display of dress designs was so intensely imaginative that we decided to go in and look around. Then we discovered that I21E1Ef , Beckley was the owner and operator, We further discovered that Jgygg Walton was head designer. She invited us to a style show to be held that evening and told us that the head model was Marvel McCreery and that she would show off the latest fashions in evening gowns. Again we picked up our pursuit of food. We had walked two blocks when we saw a sign say- ing For the Best, Eat at Ray's . Deciding this place was really the best, for it was immaculate, we went in and ordered our meal, We began talking to the waiter who told us that Ray Griffith owned this restaurant, and that the business was excellent. Ray was out of town on btgness, but we did get to talk to the chief cook of his place who happened to be CEE. After we said our goodbyes to Jim, we decided to walk back to the hotel, We had walked about a block when we came upon a beauty salon with the sign Reichman and i , Linda Reichman and Dorothy Vesco, our former classmates who now were well known beauticians. Looking then right across the street was the radio station called Station NIXO, Upon going'in and looking around, we found the station was run by Bonnie Cohen, Lena Butler and Shirley Myers. While inside we heard the latest rage in rock and roll artists at work, and his latest release and hit record. When he had finished, we found it was Frank Adams. He told us his agent, Rosemary Grant, had been getting him to all the right places. Later, returning to the hotel we saw two more of our old classmates. They were Sue Shaw and Marjorie Roth. They were very famous in the field of nursing and both nominees for the Pulitzer awards, While conversing, I mentioned that I had seen about all my classmates by now However I hadn't seen Robinson, The girls then told me Judy was coming home from Chi- cago with them, but had to stay because she had surgery. It was then I learned Judy was a well known brain surgeon. After enjoying several of such weeks among our former classmates in our own home town, Joan and I boarded an airplane for home and our own careers. ayyl I J Rosemary A 5 , i',' f V David gel 11, N2 plz qw!
