Q M, ?f,,,W .mv I V '-W, EXECUTIVE OFFICER LIEUTENANT COMMANDER R.L. ALSBROOKS Lieutenant Commander R. L. Alsbrooks was born in Birmingham, Alabama, where he graduated from the University of Alabama with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business. He received his commission in the Navy in August of 1973 through Officer's Candidate School in Newport, Rhode Island. LCDR Alsbrooks has served on five ships including tours as Weapons Officer on the USS GRAND RAPIDS CPG 985 out of Naples, Italy, Combat information Center Officer on the USS JOSEPHUS DANIELS KCC 275 out of Norfolk, Virginia, Weapons Officer on the USS BREWTON CFP-10869 out of Pearl Harbor, HI, and First Lieutenant on the USS ST. LOUIS QLKA 1147 out of Sasebo, Japan. Decorations worn by LCDR Alsbrooks include two Navy Commendation Medals, the Humanitarian Service Medal, and Sea Service Ribbons for seven deployments. LCDR Alsbrooks is married to the former Ada Pomare of Auckland, New Zealand.

Schlichting, Jr., was born in New Braunfels, Texas, where he graduated from South West 1 Texas State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Education. He received his commission in the Navy in June of 1969, through the Reserve Officer Candidate QROCQ program, after spending six years enlisted service in the Naval Reserve from high school through college. ln 1981 he obtained a Master's degree in Business iff Administration from National University in San Diego, California. 1 CDR Schlichting has served on six ships. His latest completed sea tour was that of Executive Officer onboard ' USS BRISTOL COUNTY QLST 11981 also in San Diego. His assignment prior to reporting to USS TUSCALOOSA was at the American Embassy, Nassua, Bahamas as the Naval Liaison Officer, and as the Department of Defense representative to the Bahamas. 1' Decorations worn by CDR Schlichting include the Joint Service Commendation Medal, Navy Commendation I Medal, Navy Achievement Medal, Meritorious Unit Commendation, National Defense Medal, and Vietnam Service lt, Medal. He is a graduate of Minioloka County High School in ll Rupert, ldaho. He joined the Navy on 6 June 1961. In August of 1984, he was selected to Senior Chief. 5Ii Decorations worn by Senior Chief Maxson include the Bronze Star with Combat V, Two Navy Achievement I Medals iDne with Combat Vl, the Combat Action Ribbon, tour Good Conduct Medals, three Sea Service Ribbons, 3 the National Defense Medal, The Vietnam Service Medal and the Vietnam Campaign Ribbon. BMCSQSWI Maxson 1.5, is Tugmaster, Craftmaster, Boat Coxswain and Enlisted Surface Warfare qualified. Senior Chief Maxson is married to the former Erlinda Ani of Maasin, Southern Leyte, the Republic of the 113 Philippines. They have three 433 children, Russ 18, Juana 7 and Christopher 5.
