I ll IVIAIL CALL Dear Big T Family, I hope that you receive this letter soon. As you know, mail has the ability to bring out many emotions. Emotions such as joy, happiness, sorrow and pain. We received all different types of letters from Dear Sweetheart, I miss you. to Dear John, l'm sorry, but . . We have received the ever reliable bills from the credit card companies, the bank statements that were months late: and all of the different kinds of junk mail certainly cannot be forgotten. Believe it or not, bills, junk mail and the other assorted items that have no apparent value are desirable to receive over no mail at all. It gives you the feeling that somebody out there is thinking about you, or at least your money. The military mailing service is really a fascinating process. Consider what a single letter goes through. One of millions, it flies thousands of miles from one country to another, trying frantically to catch up to us. And still, it never seems to arrive soon enough. When it does finally arrive, either by helicopter or on a port call, PC2 Short and Cpl Cooking, the Navy!Marine postal clerks, attain instantaneous popularity. They are the ones who sort all of the mail and make sure that we get it, and of course they also make sure that our mail gets off of the ship and on its way back to the States. It will definitely be good to be home again. - Sincerely, THE STAFF P.S. REMEMBER I First Mail Call Cpl Cooking Sorting Mail Mail Departing 3 I sf 59 f A W
