Greasepainters Present Courtroom Drama The most important project of the year for the Grease- painters, Tuscaloosa High dramatic group, has been the production ot The Night of January Sixteenth, a court- room drama in which leading citizens made up the jury, actually voting on the verdict after the play was over. lt was directed by Mrs. Rankin, speech teacher and spon- sor ot the club, and by Mr. Sellers, a student teacher. Other projects ot the year have included make-up and stagecratt classes and helping Town and Gown Theater when tht group presented a play in Tuscaloosa. Forensic League Members Speak Uut Forensic League members find that the club participates in speech activities to suit every taste. Serious-minded members enioy debate and extemporaneous speaking, those who like iokes enioy after-dinner speaking. Almost every member likes oral interpretation of poetry. In January the club sponsored a contest in oral inter- pretation, extemp speaking, and after-dinner speaking. FORENSIC LEAGUE OFFICERS Mary Tillotson, Vice-President, Robert Bagley, Treasurer, Ronald Davis, President, Elaine Alexander, Winners in this contest had quite a tradition to maintain, for last year's winners had won several superior awards in state competition. The Forensic League has also participated in several debate clinics and tournaments both on the regional and state levels. Secretary, and Carol Curry Reporter, inspect part of the small mountain of debate material which club members work with.
