Joretta Splatt The Senior Class of 49 presenteda delightful and humorous play the SmallTown Romeo on the 5th of May at the Community Hall. Joe Stanford, a young writer of plays, went to Rushville in search of a plot for his new play. He stayed at a hotel run by Betty Braxton and found all the things he needed for his plot - a mortgage, a mystery, a ghost, a jewel theif, and a trailing detective. In his willingness to help Betty he found the play writing itself. The humor is furnished by Betty Braxton, Sly Perkins, and Bud Williams. Joe found a solution to the mystery by uncovering the villainy of the town-miser and the other two guests. 34
