Mathematics The signs of the changing times were evident in the Mathematics Department this year. The department headed by Mrs. Char- lotte Schepp, who has completed her first year at T.F.H.S., has been updated by intro- ducing plane and modern geometry in the sophomore year and algebra II in the junior year. These courses have been modernized with new terminology, concepts, and sym- bolism. The members of the staff participated in a computer course at Mount Hermon. Math students were given the privilege of at- tending these sessions. While there, they used two teletype machines which are con- nected to a computer at Dartmouth. This project was sponsored by the National Science Foundation and the Montague School Committee, and proved to be a fas- cinating addition for many interested stu- dents. Mrs. Charlotte A.
