MR. ARTHUR E. BURKE Always there must be one to lead. There must be one hand to direct and oversee others. The Class of 1967 found strength and gui- dance in the form of a man whose face was seldom seen yet whose authority was always felt. Because of his ability and experience we face the future with confidence. We are the last class this man will supervise, perhaps to him we are special. We feel fortunate to have been under his guidance throughout our school lives. As you have wished us luck, so too, the Class of 1967, with grati- tude, wishes you luck, Mr. Burke. 4

In the whirling turns of change and the circling spiral of time, there is one man who will remain stable, who will stand fast in our hearts. He has helped many classes as they struggled, hestitated, and then turned with confidence to walk from Turners Falls High School. He has taken pride in the students who leave our school, and we are proud of him. During the last four years, he has opened our eyes to the elements of today’s earth and has listened to our dreams of tomorrow’s world. He has patiently instructed and guided, not only as a respected teacher, but as a trusted friend, always willing to do more than his share. His patient encouragement, his cheerful laughter, his gruff humor, and his soft heart have left echoing memories which will linger in the minds of the Class of ’67 long after much of our high school experience has been forgotten. And so it is that we, with admiration, affection, and respect, have the honor of dedicating our yearbook to you — Mr. Galvin.

MR. WILLIAM A. COOK Standing straight and firm in the doorway as we turn around to look back, is the smiling figure of a man who knows the Class of ’67 well. His knowledge came from close association with us as individuals. Ever present, always willing, he has taught us discipline, given us encouragement, listened to our problems, and directed us toward mature solutions. His interest was obvious from the early weeks of our Junior year when he called us by name. From our first favorable impression our admiration for him has grown steadily, encouraged by his dedication to young people and his understanding of them. For the support and guidance you have given us, respectfully and sincerely we thank you, Mr. Cook. 5
