Betty was one of the eflicient girls in Mr. Burke's omce her senior year. She was in the band for one year. Betty de- signed the cover for the Junior Prom dance program and was in the Art Club for one year. JOYCE ANN GUILBAULT Ioyour are the bury ...... Joyce as a twirler was one of our snappiest steppers for three years and was a lieutenant in her senior year. She was a member of the Home Economics, History, Commercial and Community Service Clubs. In het freshman year she played intramural basketball. Joyce was on the decorating committee and ushered for the Sophomore Social. She was chairman of the ticket committee and ushered for the Junior Prom. In business activities Joyce was business manager for the senior play, assistant bank cashier and secretary to Miss Potter.

EDITH MAY FISKE Edie Her air, her manner, All who raw admired. Edie is greatly interested in music, having been a member of the band and orchestra for four years. She was also a mem- ber of the Art and Home Economic Clubs. She served as a property manager for senior play and was on several dance committees. SHIRLEY ANN GALLANT chippy Her life was generou: Filled to the hrim with friendrhipf' Chippy was one of those snappy cheerleaders for three years and became captain her senior year. She was chairman of the Thanksgiving Day Play and portrayed Therese in the senior play. Chippy was active in various clubs including French, History, Community Service and secretary for both the Home Economics and Commercial Clubs. She was an office clerk, bank day cashier and secretary to Miss Reum. Chippy was a tumbler for two years and played intramural basketball besides ushering at the Freshman Hop and Variety Show. ELIZABETH ANNE GALVIN Betsey Born with the gift of laughter Our lively Betsey has been very active in extra-curricular activities. She has taken part in band, orchestra and Junior Prize Speaking, as well as the Community Service, French, His- tory, Latin and Art Clubs. She is a member of the Pro Merito Society and the Netop and yearbook staffs, and ushered for the junior Prom. She hilariously portrayed Madame Elise in Our Hearts Were Young and Gay. JAMES HERBERT GAMLIN Herbie There ir honesty, manhood and good fellowrhip in him. 1 Herbie was a .quiet boy who didn't have a great deal of time for school activities, but did usher at the Junior Prom. DOROTHY JANE HAYDE Dottie A merry heart maketh A cheerful countenance. Dottie has been very active in clubs, being a member of the Art, History and Girls' Glee Clubs as well as serving on the Netop and yearbook staffs. She was also a J V cheer- leader, co-captain her junior year and a member of the varsity squad for part of her senior year. She ushered for several class dances and for the Class Day and Graduation Exercises of '51. Despite all these activities, Dotty served on the make-up com- mittee for senior play and attained the high rating of Pro Merito. GERALD CHARLES HICKS Bill PoliteneJr ir :mall price to pay for the good will and ajection of people. Bill hasn't had very much time, during his four years at Alma Mater, to take part in extra-curricular activities. During his senior year, however, he was a member of the decorating committee for the Freshman Hop. ERNEST FRANKLIN HOULE Ernie Initiative ir doing the right thing without being told. Ernie played basketball during his freshman year and track, his junior year. He was on the Sophomore Social com- mittee and in the History Club for two years. Ernie ably as- sisted Miss Teed with her productions this year and for co- operating so wonderfully with the Netop he was made an honorary member. DOROTHY MAY JOHNSON chicky She': eary to look at. Dorothy was a girl who didn't have a great deal of time for school activities but, for one year did blend her voice with the Girls' Glee Club.
