RALPH M. AKEY He'J mort always fmiling and gay With a few Jeriour momentx each day. Ralph has been quite active in sports since he transferred from Greenfield High School. He played football, tennis, and varsity basketball his senior year. He was a member of the History and Boys' Glee Clubs and served as an usher at the Junior Prom. ALBERTA LOUISE AREL Betta A Jmile for all, a welcome glad, A jovial coaxing way the had. Betta was a member of the Home Economics and His- tory Clubs. She also was an usher at the Sophomore Social. JOSEPHINE MARY BANASIAK ..J0ey,, AlwayJ a helping hand to a person in trouble. joey hails from Montague and in her freshman year was a member of the Home Economics Club. She served on the refreshment committees for various dances and was a member of the Commercial Club. She also was an efficient oiiice clerk. MARGARET E. BERTRANG Peggy She eateth not the bread of idleneuf' Peggy has displayed her good working ability by doing much club and committee work during her high school years. Besides being an active member of the Art, Community Ser- vice, Home Economics and Camera Clubs, she ushered and served at several dances.

DAVID JAMES BEAUBIEN Hacksaw The will to do, the .foul Io dare. First on our list of the Class of '52 is everybody's friend, Hacksaw, our president. He played football for two years and was a member of the French and Latin Clubs. He did an excellent job as business manager on the Netop and yearbook staffs. He also played johnny Drake in the Columbus Day play and portray- ed the dashing Monsieur de La Croix in the senior play. SHIRLEY KOZIK Shirl Her mode!! manner and kind hear! Will put ber on to a good Mart. Shirl was our capable class treas- urer, efiiciently handling not only the numerous class accounts for three years but acting as business manager for junior Prize Speaking. She served on the Netop and year- book staffs, and was also a member of the French, Art, and Glee Clubs, being secretary of the latter during her senior year. Shirley was an as- sistant coach for senior play, chair- man of the Columbus Day produc- tion, His First Dress Suit, and ushered at the junior Prom, Sopho- mm- c,,,.:,.i -..J r:---i....a.. ua.. ROBERT WINSTON LEVITRE Bob Application ir the price to be paid for mental acquirizionf' Bob, our class historian, was a member of the band for four years, being its student director his senior year. Moreover, he was a member of the Swingsters. He demonstrated his histrionic ability in the Junior Prize Speaking Contest and in the Legion Oratorical Contest. He cli- maxed both with his magnificent portrayal of Cornelius Otis Skinner in Our Hearts Were Young and Gay. Bob was a member of the Glee Club as well as business man- ager on the Netop 'and yearbook staffs. Bob attained the high stand- ards of Pro Merito and was award- ed the Harvard prize book his junior year. FREDERICK RIEI. Buddy A carefree jolly way be bad. Buddy has been our vice-presi- dent for the past three years. He was very active in sports playing four years of football, two years of basketball, two years of baseball and for three years he was on the track team. Buddy was in the French, Art, T , and Boys' Glee Clubs. He also ushered at the Sophomore So- cial and at the junior Prom. CAROLYN ANN HAWLEY Carol We enjoy thoroughly only the pleasure: that we give. Carol, the class secretary, has shown her active interest in all school activities - by becoming a member of the Girls' Glee Club, its president her senior year, French, Art, History and the Community Service Clubs. She was on the Ne- top and yearbook staffs as well as one of our efficient oflice girls. Carol was in the Columbus Day play and was an able assistant to Miss Teed for senior play. She proved her knowledge of Home Economics Club while serving on various dance

DAMASE CAOUETTE junie A light heart live: long. Junie ably played the part of Dick Winters in our senior play, and Gil Pringle in the Thanksgiving Day Play. His senior year he was elected president of the History Club, and was a member of the French and Art Clubs. He acted as an usher at our junior Prom, and served on various other dance committees during his four years. In the sports field, junie played basketball and baseball his freshman year and played intramural basketball for three years. DAVID R. CARLISLE Dave A friend if nature? marterpiecef' David played freshman basketball, baseball and also one year of varsity football. He was a member of the T and History Clubs and was on the Netop and yearbook staffs. David also served as stage manager of the senior play, was co-chairman of the decorating committee for the Junior Prom and on the decorating committee for the Sophomore Social. GEORGE ADRIAN CHAGNON Chag The only way to have a friend ir to he one. Chag was a stage manager for senior play and an usher for junior Prom and the Christmas Concert. He belonged to the French, History and Glee Clubs and served on various dance committees. ANN MARIE CHARRON Ann Courtesy and grace of manner are not 11eneer,'they are polirhf' Ann sang in the Girls' Glee Club and was a member of the French, Community Service, Art, Latin and History Clubs. She was on the Netop and yearbook staffs, secretary of the History Club, and played the part of the Inspector in senior play. Ann acted as chairman of the program committee for junior Prom and ushered for various class dances. She por- trayed Pepper in the Armistice Day Play, Homework
